Asesoft portfolio expansion drives up turnover in Q1 to €16.8 mln

 “We are expecting quarters two and three to be quite weak, followed by significant growth in the last three months of the year,” said General Manager Iulian Stanciu.

He added that the notebook market increased, but the growth rate has slowed. The market has advanced overall by 5-10 percent.

According to Stanciu, main factors influencing the market were more expensive loans and local elections, which blocked many projects, but also a large number of free PCs brought onto the market by telecom operators.

Asesoft Distribution forecasts turnover worth $135 mln (€91.97 mln) in 2008, 30 percent higher year-on-year. This year, the company took over 25 percent of Curiero courrier company for some €7 mln, and 50 percent of Combox Delivery for €2 mln.
