Plesea invested some €50 mln in three 4 and 5 star hotels in the Valea Prahova mountain area. He told Business Standard that the hotels, totaling 340 rooms, will be finalized next year.

He added that two residential projects are also ongoing. “One hundred units will be built in [the city of] Brasov, with the project value amounting to €14 million, while 17 units are being built in Buftea (north of Bucharest), with an investment worth some €7 million,” Plesea said. Both residential projects are to be finalized in two years.

The real estate field has become one of the most attractive investment targets in Romania.

Earlier this year, Cargus was sold to DHL for some €50 million, according to market sources. Following the deal, Plesea retained his position in the company’s management.
