Cosmote targets 5.4 million clients by the end of the year

The company’s targets for 2009 and 2010 are 6.1 million and 6.6 million clients, respectively. By 30 June 2008, Cosmote had some 4.6 million clients, according to market sources. Company officials did not wish to comment on this information.

The top two companies on the market, Orange and Vodafone, reported a tempered growth rate this year.

In the first quarter of 2008, Cosmote revenue amounted to €53.2 mln, up 94 percent compared to Q1 2007, according to the quarterly report by OTE Group, majority owner of the company.
