Dell Romania sold some 50,000 PCs in H1

Dell Romania increased its notebook and desktop sales by 83.2 percent in the first half of the year, to 49,695 units, compared to H1 2007, according to company representatives.

“Dell sold 35,151 laptops in Romania,” said Mihai Guran, Country Manager for Romania and Bulgaria. The company sold 8,014 desktops in H1. Dell has a market share of 22.3 percent for notebook sales.

The Romanian PC market advanced by over 35 percent, according to preliminary data from the International Data Corporation (IDC) research company, while that for the notebook segment exceeded 45 percent.
