Merchandising

Ansamblu de metode si tehnici de prezentare activa, in cele mai bune conditii materiale si psihologice ale unui produs, la locul de vanzare, in scopul optimizarii vanzarilor si pentru a aduce un plus de satisfactie clientelei in timpul cautarii si cumpararii produselor, ceea ce implica: semnalare, expunere, evidentiere, intaietate etc. Keppner a descris aceasta tehnica ca "ansamblul de activitati prin care se asigura consumatorului marfa de care are nevoie, la locul si momentul potrivit, la pretul potrivit". Cele mai importante aspecte la care merchandisingul face referire sunt:

- amplasamentul de comercializare al produsului in magazin/raion (etalare, esantionare, conditionare, preambalare, marcare, etichetare s.a.). O buna pozitionare consta in definirea justa a asortimentului, alegerea referintelor, pentru gasirea locului potrivit si acoperirea cat mai completa a cererii;

- suprafata de vanzare atribuita per produs (fr. - espace de lineaire), calculata in centimetri sau fete de ambalaje de produse (engl. - facings);

- cantitatea din fiecare produs care va fi prezentata in cadrul raionului (inclusiv cantarire, dozare, verificarea greutatii, imprimare, codificare s.a.) – cantitate suficienta pentru ca produsul sa fie vizibil si pentru a evita rupturile de stocuri intre doua perioade de aprovizionare (V. SLIM), cantitati limitate pentru a evita stocurile inutile;

- modalitatile de dispunere si aranjare a marfii, mobilierul de prezentare folosit (adaptat tipului de produs - legume-fructe, textile, incaltaminte, carti, video, jucarii etc): etajere, paleti, cosuri, rafturi (modulare) de perete, vitrine, gondole, tejghele, standuri (rotative), expozitoare etc.;

- punerea in evidenta a suprafetelor avand un impact puternic asupra cumparatorului: extremitatile rafturilor (fr. - tines de gondole), etajere situate la nivelul privirii si al mainilor (rezervate pentru promovarea produselor noi si "impingerea" pe piata a unor articole); dispunerea cat mai economica a marfurilor, dotare adecvata cu echipamente;

- natura materialelor de semnalizare si de publicitate folosite la locul de vanzare: etichete, postere, afise, pliante, brosuri, reclama sonora, video, animatori, obiecte promotionale etc ;

- modul de aranjare/planul si designul magazinului, modul de dirijare a clientilor, fluxul servirii, decoruri, lumina, culorile folosite, atmosfera intima etc.

Asemenea activitati se afla in sarcina unui specialist numit merchandiser. V. publicitate la locul de vanzare - PLV. (In Franta, Institulul Francez de Merchandising - IFM a fost fondat in1972; obiectiv: cercetarea, dezvoltarea, promovarea si difuzarea tehnicilor de merchandising).
