Over €88 mln for Radiocom in 2008

Radiocom, former National Radio Communications Company, one of the main electronic communication lines and service suppliers in Romania, is expecting to post turnover worth some €80.3 million in 2007, although the official financial situation has not yet been published. The company targets over €88 million in turnover for 2008, 10 percent higher year-on-year.

Radiocom services are mainly intended for the business segment: internet, Virtual Private Network (VPN), leased lines, national and international phone services, integrated communication services - data traffic, phone services, video conferencing and satellite communications.

According to company officials, the main growth engine in 2007 was the TV transmission segment, due to investments in coverage area and service quality. Anca Furtuna, Radiocom Marketing Manager, says that 2008 will bring investments in the telecom area. The company will also focus on the residential segment, by developing the WiMAX access system.

Radiocom’s portfolio includes almost all telecommunication operators in Romania, such as Vodafone, Orange, Telemobil, GTS Romania, insurance company BCR Asigurari, Transfond and TV stations Antena 1 and Pro TV.
