Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu told Cabinet members to prepare draft laws aimed to apply measures included in a recent plan aimed to fight the impact of the international financial crisis in Romania.
The drafts must be discussed during the Government meeting this week, so they can be applied as of January 1, 2009, Tariceanu said, prior to a meeting with several ministers involved in the fight against the crisis.
Last week, the government drafted a plan aimed to cope with the crisis impact. The plan includes the allocation of €10 billion in the next four years for investments in the economy, the reduction by 10 percentage points of the social contributions for employees and €220 million for social housing.
