Romania’s Ambient to invest EUR 136m to open 12 commercial centers countrywide

The company currently operates in Transylvania, Central Romania, and it is targeting to expand in big cities as well as in smaller ones with 100,000 inhabitants by opening 12 more commercial centers, according to Ciolos.

Ciolos estimates revenues to reach 250 million euros this year, rising 40 percent from the previous one. Plans are to merge all the company’s branches into one unitary group starting January 1, 2008 and modernize the commercial centers opened so far.

Ambient was founded in 1993 and its share capital is entirely Romanian. It currently has 14 commercial centers in Transylvania and two warehouses. The company employs 2,600 people.
