Romstal to expand personnel by 10% in 2008

The company is looking to hire sales representatives and managers, said Valentin Bestea, Human Resource Manager Romstal. According to Bestea, recruiting a branch manager can take up to two months. The company has difficulties hiring plumbers, air conditioning and electrical specialists, and trainers and project managers with technical background.

“We generally hire graduates from plumbing or utility companies,” added Bestea. Graduates receive a starting wage of €400-500, and can receive €600-700 after six months.

Employee fluctuation was up to some 15 percent last year, higher for entry level jobs. Work force costs rise to an annual average €14,500 per employee, and will increase by some 16-18 percent in 2008. Romstal offers health insurance for a private clinic, and access to fitness centers and a pool.
