The recipe of a small trader: Stay away from final consumers

The company’s General Manager, Dan Dragan, told Business Standard that RE Energie’s positioning as supplier for traders and the revenues from import-export operations, transit, and other bilateral contracts had a great contribution to this success. The company has a trading floor in Prague, for the entire Central and Eastern Europe.

“We did not touch final consumers and this was a very good decision, not to make deliveries to them. Now, it is a more difficult year for everybody and we congratulate ourselves for not entering this client segment, which reduced their consumption sharply,” Dragan added.

Regarding the company’s plans to become an electricity producer in the local market, Dragan said that he is constantly monitoring the market, looking for opportunities. He declined to provide further details on the matter.
