Romania’s budget gap reaches 3.9% of the GDP after the first seven months

At the end of June, the budget gap stood at 3.3 percent of the GDP estimated for 2010.

According to the ministry, the revenues of the general consolidated budget inched 1.2 percent in January-July from the same period last year, to 93.3 billion lei, while the spendings rose 3.2 percent, to 113.3 billion lei.

Romania has a budget deficit target of 6.8 percent of the GDP for the end of the year.
