Genesys Systems, a company specializing in software solutions services within the Genesys group, will generate over 45 percent of the group’s total net sales this year, but its sales will stagnate at €12.7 million. “We wanted to exceed €30 million in 2009, but this is unlikely in the current conditions,” Baltag said, adding that the group’s business in the first six months is equal to 40 percent of the annual sales volume.

Genesys Systems sales in the first half of this year fell 10 percent, to some €5 mln, according to company officials, who expect that the last two quarters of this year will bring a higher dynamic in terms of initiated projects. “We will focus more on software. We are mainly interested in what added value we can offer as software services and applications,” Baltag indicated.

This is one of the reasons which led to a partnership between Genesys Systems and RnD Software, a Romanian company specializing in software production which develops the Livigent web content filtering solution. The purpose of the partnership is the inclusion of the security solution in the product portfolio of Genesys Systems.

According to the General Manager of RnD Software, Ovidiu Constantin, the potential of the web content filtering market is worth some €5 mln, which will be reached in the coming 3-4 years, as companies realize that monitoring the time employees spend online and limiting their access to the internet means cutting costs and, possibly, raising the productivity of employees.
