"This high turnover is mainly due to location," according to the company's PR Manager, Claudia Chira.
The restaurant's profit margin was of 6-9 percent. "One year after it re-opened, Caru' cu bere outran estimates and is considered one of the group's most profitable investments," she added. Caru' cu bere is part of the Trotter Prim group, controlled by businessman Dragos Petrescu, who also owns the City Grill restaurant chain. Caru' cu bere makes up some 25 percent of Trotter Prim's business.
Caru' cu bere's turnover is estimated to reach some €2.5 million in 2007, because of the brand's consolidation and special products, such as special menus for students and parties. Furthermore, the company estimates a 25 percent year-on-year increase in 2008.
The restaurant has concluded partnerships with some 20 tourist agencies, which have included Caru' cu bere in their package deals.
