20 million euro investment in private clinic network

"There is a big lack of such centers. Hospitals have outdated equipment, if any, while the private sector does not have angiography," Hemodinamic manager, Fotis Zografos,  told Business Standard. In the next two or three years, the company plans to expand in important cities in the country, such as Ramnicu Valcea and Ploiesti, where the need for such services is higher than in university centers, according to Zografos. Depending on demand on the local market', the Hemodinamic clinics could include magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or tomography facilities in certain cities, which would rise the investment value per clinic to some €2 million.

Hemodinamic developed a partnership with "Pitie Salpetrier" Hospital in Paris, for both assistance in difficult cases and training for medical staff. The clinics will make available some non-surgical procedures and treat ments for the first time in Romania. Hemodinamic's shareholders are Sante International, with 60 percent, and Greek investor Yannis Andrikopulos, with 40 percent of the capital.

Hemodinamic's main competitors on the private health market are Euroclinic, Medlife, Unirea Medical Center and Medicover.

Market
The market of private medical services, estimated to some €200 million, is  increasing at a fast pace.
