22 companies interested in Bucharest thermal plants

Both major international companies in the field, such as Verbund, GDF Suez, and E.ON, and local companies, such as Electrica and Romgaz, are among the companies interested.

The investors to be selected are to found Independent Power Producer (IPP) mixed companies, together with Elcen, for greenfield or brownfiel investments at the two plants.

Interested companies can still apply for the two plants' modernization by September 29.
