Net assets of the seven funds administering optional pensions totaled €1.15 million by November 16, rising 16.4 percent week-on-week.

Allianz-Tiriac is market leader on this segment, with a 55 percent share. The assets of its two funds, AZT Moderato and AZT Vivace, total €625,000. AZT Moderato alone has attracted 38 percent of total subscriptions to optional private pensions, or 9,376 clients, according to data from CSSPP.

ING Asigurari de Viata, administrator of ING Clasic and ING Optim funds, ranks second, with a 32.5 percent market share and assets worth close to €373,000.

The Pensia Mea fund, administered by insurance company Aviva, ranks third, with assets worth €127,000 and 2,929 clients.
