There are 13 active funds on the optional pension market, managed by 10 administrators: AZT Moderato, AZT Vivace (Allianz-Tiriac Private Pensions), BCR Prudent (BCR Life Insurance), BRD Medio, BRD Primo (BRD), Concordia Moderat (Asirom Concordia), Eureko Confort (Eureko Pensions), ING Clasic, ING Optim (ING Life Insurance), OTP Strateg (OTP Garancia), Pensia Mea (Aviva Lofe Insurance), Raiffeisen Acumulare (Raiffeisen Asset Management), and Stabil (Generali Pensions).
According to the data centralized by CSSPP, those who chose optional private pension funds represent 3.5 percent of the total number of employees in Romania.
The net assets of Pillar III funds were worth €36 million at the end of July, up 7.7 percent from June. Compared to July 2008, the net assets of optional private pension funds tripled.
