€3.2 mln worth of InterContinental shares traded on BVB

InterContinental shareholders were not available for comment before the close of the print edition.

The company's most significant shareholders are Luxembourg-based RHIC Holding SA, with 49.12 percent of shares, and Lido SA, with 11.89 percent of the stock. The remaining shares are owned by minority shareholders, one of which, according to the latest data available, is businessman Viorel Paunescu, who controlled the hotel in early 2000. Last year, he sold a significant share package.

CHIR posted €13.6 million worth of business in 2007, 10 percent higher year-on-year.
