€301.73 mln in gross premiums for VIG subsidiaries

Romanian subsidiaries of Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) subscribed gross premiums worth a total of €301.73 million during January-September, 80.4 percent higher year-on-year, according to the Austrian-based group's quarterly report.
VIG included four insurance companies it owns in Romania, Omniasig, Omniasig Life, Unita, and Agras in its financial results.
Earlier this month, VIG become major shareholder of insurance company Asirom, but its results were not included in the group's report.
Companies in VIG's portfolio were controlling more than 17 percent of the local insurance market. Following the purchase of Asirom, VIG's market share rose to 27 percent.
