A €60 million program to monitor Sibiu's tourism

"The software will go into effect as of mid-January, will be brought from Austria, where it is already operational, and we already have personnel in Austria for training during this period," added Gyarmati.

Some €60 mln in European funds were allocated for the nationwide implementation of the program. "There will be a central server at the Sibiu County Council, and the 13 Tourist Information Centers (CIT) throughout the county will each receive the software. At present, only 4 or 5 of the 13 CITs are functional, but operating according to the old system. When we launch the new program in January, some 90 percent of these centers will benefit from it, and the remainder will become operational in the near future," said Gyarmati. (NewsIn)
