“A thorough analysis led us to believe that this will get us quicker access to the market, because building a new factory would take at least three-four years,” according to a declaration for Business Standard by Laurentiu Scheusan, Country Manager of Actavis.

Actavis has signed a multi-annual agreement with Pfizer for the exclusive supply of cancer medication. “This transaction will allow us to respond to the cancer medication market growth predictions for the coming years. The unit meets top international standards,” said Robert Wessman, CEO and President of Actavis.
The factory in Nerviano (30 km from Milan) will work closely with the Bucharest unit.

Actavis announced €84 million in turnover in Romania for the first nine months of 2007, 21 percent higher year-on-year, while exports increased 50 percent, to €9 mln.
