Adamska: we want to facilitate the listing of Romanian companies on WSE

"We are currently waiting for the Romanian law to be amended, as we cannot own more than 5 percent of the shares of a stock exchange operator," said Lidia Adamska, member of WSE's Board of Directors, who recently participated in the capital increase of the Sibiu stock exchange.

BMFMS and WSE will together launch spot share transactions. "We are working on a plan to see how to develop the Sibiu spot market. We are also considering double listings," added Lidia Adamska.

The Polish stock exchange is trying to attract as many international listings as possible, considering there were 53 public offerings in the first three quarters of 2007, including six foreign companies (two from , one from , one from , and two from ).

The Warsaw capital market has a €230 billion capitalization, of which €80 bln is the value of foreign companies listed on this market.
