The poultry market is worth some €900 mln, €200 mln higher year-on-year. The main companies in the field are Agricola International Bacau, Transavia Alba Iulia, Avicola Calarasi and Avicola Crevedia.

Agricola yesterday inaugurated a new production unit for cold meats, called Salbac Dry Salami, following an investment worth €4.5 mln, with an annual production capacity of 1,200 tons. The factory will produce one of the most famous Romanian dry salami brands, Salam de Sibiu.
