“We want to post our 2007 turnover by the end of 2009. In other words, we are estimating a drop in turnover and profit margins. However, for the Dale Carnegie Training company, part of our group, we aim to maintain the 2008 level,” Mihaela Perianu, General Manager of AIMS Romania, told Business Standard.
Perianu believes that the panic exhibited by its competitors could seriously affect fees. The same panic could determine many client-companies to freeze recruitment in 2009. Also, political instability and the intentions of officials to change taxation might have negative effects on the business.
“The financial crisis is affecting our recruitment business in Bucharest, and more so in Timisoara, where 60 percent of companies are operating in the auto industry, sharply impacted. Recession usually strikes every recruitment business heavily, especially if this is focused on middle management recruiting. These jobs will be the first to go, and positions will be merged,” Perianu added.
AIMS: We will register the 2007 turnover in 2009
