Altex and Mobexpert owners to build joint retail center

The owner of furniture producer and retailer Mobexpert, Dan Sucu, and the owner of the Altex household appliance retailer, Dan Ostahie, are to build a retail center in the city of Ploiesti, including a Mobexpert store, a Media Galaxy store (an Altex brand), and several other shops.

Sucu told Business Standard that this is a pilot collaboration, and that for now similar investments in other cities have not been decided. He declined to provide further information on either the project or the estimated investment, as discussions are ongoing on these details.

The businessmen purchased five hectares of land on the outskirts of Ploiesti for the retail center. Construction work is to start in one month and to be finalized by the end of the year.
