Angst to build a new cold meats factory in Cluj County

Angst plans to extend its activity on the pet food segment with a production unit in Buftea, near Bucharest. The company already produces small amounts of pet food, which is sold solely through its own store network. Angst is also considering restructuring the dairy factory in Videle with European Union funding.

The company will invest some €7 million to expand its store network, develop its production capacity and modernize the dairy factory, mainly with own funds and several loans.

Angst owns 27 stores, 3 cold meat factories and a dairy factory. Its plans to open a further 15 to 20 new stores in 2008.

Romanian cold meats market is worth over €700 million. The main competitors are Aldis Calarasi, Angst, Cris-Tim, Elit and Campofrio.
