Apart from trading on the spot market, there was also a deal worth RON 1.9 mln (€0.45 mln) involving shares of the oil company. Shares of the BRD lender were the most traded on the market, as transactions totaled RON 14.4 mln (€3.4 mln), and the bank gained almost six percent in market value.
The optimism of investors was fueled by the fact that mature European markets yesterday posted the highest values registered this year and by the most recent announcement by the National Bank of Romania regarding the downward revision of the inflation target for 2009 and 2010.
The enthusiasm on BVB also reflected in the level of liquidity on the regulated market, which amounted to a new annual record, of RON 61.4 mln (€14.7 mln). Bond transactions totaled RON 19.1 mln (€4.5 mln).
