Antibiotice Iasi expecting a tripling of profit by 2012, to nearly €30 mln

Net profit of drug producer Antibiotice SA Iasi will increase some threefold by 2012 to €29.4 million, from €10.9 mln in 2008, due to a reduction in staff by almost one third, the company announced in a release to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).

“We estimate a 25 percent increase in annual profit and 20 percent in turnover between 2008 and 2012,” the release shows.

By 2012, Antibiotice Iasi will further reduce the number of its employees from 1,600 to 1,100, while technological and environmental investments are expected to exceed €20 mln. (NewsIn)
