April to bring changes among key energy people

Gabriel Sirbu, General Manager of the Natural Gas Price and Tariff Department of the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), will leave the institution as of 1 April, having resigned one month ago, according to sources from ANRE for Business Standard.  Sirbu could be replaced by Alina Tache, presently Manager of the Cost Analysis Department.  Sirbu told Business Standard: “I will not say anything now, but will clarify things when I believe this to be necessary.”  Market sources indicate that Sirbu could be negotiating with Petrom, Romania’s largest company, and E.ON Romania, a major gas distributor, although the latter has denied any talks with the ANRE official.

Another change, also effective on 1 April, is the change of Bernard Arnaud, General Manager of Distrigaz Sud, owned by the French GDF SUEZ, to be replaced by the company’s Deputy General Manager, David Yvonnick.

Eric Kish, Vice President for Retail and Marketing of Rompetrol Group, will exchange positions with Titov Buzescu, who heads Rompetrol’s industrial service operations.
