ArcelorMittal Galati invests €150 mln in technological projects

Part of the investments in the Galati steel plant will focus on environmental projects. “We have already begun implementing 64 environmental projects worth $53 million (€36.2 mln). Last year, we invested over $32 mln (€21.81 mln) in environmental projects,” said Augustine Kochuparampil, CEO of ArcelorMittal Galati.

ArcelorMittal Galati is the largest steel producer in Romania, with over 50 percent of national production. The company posted €1.1 billion in turnover for the first half of 2007.
