Arctic posts 15% higher business

Arctic sold more than 1.5 million household appliances in 2007, of which 0.73 million locally. Its turnover on the domestic market amounted to €118.2 mln, 15 percent higher year-on-year.

A further 800,000 units were exported in 2007, 9 percent more than in 2006. Exports were expanded to new markets, including the Faroe Islands, Ireland, Kuwait and Yemen. Arctic refrigerators are currently sold in 45 countries. Some 65 percent of exported Arctic products are sold in the European Union.

“The financial results posted by Arctic in 2007 exceeded our targets. The constant evolution we registered in recent years is due to both investments made by Arcelik in technology and the implementation of modern production management systems, as well as overall general market growth,” said Arctic’s General Manager, Ugur Kayali.
