Before the deal was closed, Combox Delivery was owned by two businessmen Vlad Dumitru and Sebastian Ion. Dumitru, who is also the company’s General Manager, retained his half of the company, while Ion sold his 50 percent share.
“We have agreed on all aspects. Everything will be finalized formally by the end of next week,” Dumitru said.
Combox Delivery posted €2.8 million in turnover in 2007, triple year-on-year, and targets business worth €5.8 this year, double on 2007, with profit up to €268,000.
“Combox brings us a business area that we were not covering, namely distribution of peripherals, gaming, media, and consumables. This is an interesting area, because it registers higher profit margins,” Asesoft Distribution’s CEO, Razvan Ziemba, said.
The news comes just days after Asesoft Distribution finalized its takeover of 25 percent of Curiero, one of the country’s leading delivery companies. According to information provided by market sources for Business Standard, Asesoft Distribution plans to acquire a total of three local IT companies, each of which has business below €5 mln.
Asesoft Distribution targets turnover worth €92 mln in 2008, some 30 percent higher year-on-year. The distribution company is part of the Asesoft group, with operations in several areas, including real estate and the wine industry.
