Asesoft takes over 25% of Curiero

“The transaction is worth close to €7 million. We struck the deal on Wednesday.” Asesoft President Sebastian Ghita told Business Standard yesterday.

Curiero estimates business worth €25 million in 2008, some 70 percent higher year-on-year. Ghita said investment in a delivery company helps the group and also allows the target company to develop further.

The group also owns 100 hectares of land in Ploiesti and Bucharest, worth a total of €30 million, and is involved in real estate operations. It has already begun construction of a luxury residential building in downtown Ploiesti and is to start work on a second building shortly. Next year, a new project is set to be launched on the outskirts of the city, with an investment worth €100 million. The real estate projects will be developed by Glar Construct, a newly-established company within the group.

Asesoft is also involved in the wine business. Ghita recently sold a 32 percent share in the Domeniile Tohani winery company. He will invest some €5 mln from this sale in a new vineyard, Conacul Dumbrava.
