In 2007, the company registered €29 mln in gross subscribed premiums, 49 percent higher year-on-year. Some 80 percent of the company's business is currently made up of auto insurance.

The company expects that 2 percent of total estimated gross premiums or €1 mln will be in the form of agricultural insurance this year. “The company entered the agricultural insurance segment last year, when it posted gross premiums worth €100,000 for this type of insurance. This year, we also plan to enter the health insurance segment in order to make our offer broader,” Stan said.

Asitrans-EuroIns posted €200,000 in profit in 2007 and expects net income to amount to €500,000 this year, its General Manager said.

The company currently claims 1.6-1.7 percent of the total insurance market, and aims to increase this percentage up to 2.3 this year and to 3.5 percent by 2011.
