Astaldi awarded €76 mln Henri Coanda Airport contract

“Astaldi will carry out the work to extend the arrival and passenger terminals, renovate the official lounge, reorganize passenger flow, and build a new parking garage,” according to an Astaldi press release.

The Italian company began work in Romania over 20 years ago and is involved in rehabilitation works on the Cluj-Napoca international airport.

Astaldi is also working on the Bucharest-Constanta highway and road repair along Splaiul Unirii in Bucharest, projects worth €57 million.

The Basarab overpass near Bucharest’s main train stations is Astaldi’s largest project, in partnership with Spanish company FCC, whose total value is €113 mln.

Also, in partnership with German company Max Boegl, Astaldi is rebuilding the “Lia Manoliu” national stadium, worth €120 mln.

Company officials expect turnover in 2007 to amount to €100 mln, 7 percent more year-on-year.
