AVAS has decided who may acquire Petrom shares

The Authority for State Assets Recovery (AVAS) today announced that persons who have had a labor contract with the company since 29 August 2003 will have the right to acquire Petrom shares.

The sale will be made directly to eligible person at the same price as that paid for shares by the Austrian OMV strategic investor, namely RON 0.2158, said AVAS. The provisions are included in an Emergency Ordinance initiated by AVAS and presently subject to public debate. (The Money Channel)
