Average net monthly salary expected to be just short of €500 in 2010

Income will continue to evolve by an annual 30 percent for entry-level and unqualified worker positions, while the rhythm of growth for middle and top management will be an annual 4-6 percent.

About one third of Romanian salary packages will be variable and depend on performance, while the fixed salary will lose ground to bonuses and other benefits.

Top salary increases will exist in new areas, namely advisory, auto industry and agriculture. However, these will not outdistance the areas that are already part of the wave, which will continue to be best-paid until 2010, namely banking, IT, and telecommunications. Other best-paid professions in 2010 will include engineers, project managers and HR specialists.

The above are several conclusions drawn from an analysis carried out by Business Standard from estimates made by all important labor force market players, including employees and employers, HR specialists, syndicates, authorities, Ministry of Labor, and National Prognosis Commission, regarding trends and changes on the labor force market in 2010.
