The BET-C composite index, measuring all listed stocks minus investment funds rose 0.38 percent, while the BET index tracking the top ten performers on the market soared 0.32 percent. Trading stood at 3.23 million lei (1.08 million euros).
Banca Transilvania (TLV) trading accounted for 553,568 lei in the first minutes of the opening session, after the lender said yesterday its net profit in the first six months of the year reached 79.5 million lei, 35 percent more than the same period last year.
The BET-FI index assessing the five investment funds known as SIFs gained 0.41 percent, with SIF Oltenia (SIF5) and SIF Moldova (SIF2) leading investment funds trading.
Romanian oil transporter Oil Terminal Constanta (OIL) saw shares increase 6.38 percent, to 1 leu, after the company announced yesterday the bourse had Okayed its transfer to the first tier of the stock exchange.
