The bank’s assets rose by 81.7 percent, to $470.3 mln (€304 mln), while the volume of loans doubled, to $291.6 mln (€188.50 mln).
By April 2008, Bank Leumi Romania had a territorial network of 37 units and it plans to expand to all major cities of Romania.
The group entered the Romanian market in August 2006, following its takeover of the majority stake in Eurom Bank from Dutch company Kolal BV.
From September 2006 to January 2008, the Israeli group subscribed some $83 million (€53.65 mln) to the share capital of Leumi Bank Romania.
