Bankers retort: The market should not be punished because of three speculators

The Romanian Association of Banks (ARB) and BNR announced yesterday that they will change the method for calculating the ROBOR rate, to prevent a situation in which conjunctural levels are transferred to clients. On the other hand, some bankers believe that BNR’s attitude is excessive. “I do not believe that there any bank transferred the ROBOR rate to its clients,” according to a declaration for Business Standard by the President that Pe de alta parte, o parte dintre bancheri considera excesiva atitudinea BNR. “Nu cred ca este vreo banca care sa fi transferat ROBOR-ul clientilor”, a declarat pentru Business Standard Chairman of the UniCredit Board of Directors, Dan Pascariu.
