BCR had the highest capital increase in 2007

Distribution company CEZ Distributie and energy company E.ON Energie are second and third, with participations of over €100 mln each.

The company that operates the Kaufland stores doubled its capital last year, by €59.9 million in September and €19.3 mln in December. The capital increase of cable telecommunication company UPC Romania amounted to €48 million.

The share capital subscribed by companies with foreign participation reached some €2.5 billion by the end of 2007.

Nearly 16,000 new companies with foreign participation were established last year, with a subscribed capital of over $460 million (some €300 mln). Over 147,000 foreign companies were registered in Romania at the end of 2007.
