Bechtel is to receive €440 million in 2009 and 42 kilometers of highway are to be finalized by November 15.
"Bechtel has an advantageous contract for the company and disadvantageous for us. From this contract, we request to know what we are paying for," Berceanu said.
The U.S. company won a tender to build the Transilvania highway in 2003. The Highway will be 415 km long, from Brasov to Bors, and will require a total investment of €7-8 billion, compared to the initial negotiated value of €2.2 bln. (NewsIn)
