Second and third places went to the British Herald Express and the Spanish Hora Nova. This award makes Business Standard the only publication in Romania to be awarded by WAN-IFRA (World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers), which hosts the competition and is one of the world’s most prestigious media organisations.

According to the jury, Antreprenor, entirely dedicated to entrepreneurs, and providing the business community with news and intelligence, developed as a print section of Business Standard, a weekly TV show, an internet portal, a series of conferences and seminars, and a book with guidelines for companies in times of crisis, received the highest number of points for mission and impact, while the Private Government initiative, a concept launched to bring together the business community and the Romanian government to improve the environment and make a change for the whole of society, was greatly appreciated for the idea and strategy at the basis of the project.
