Best quarter for investments in the past 15 years

The study includes all types of investments, and shows that RON 17.44 bln (€5.1 bln) were invested in Q3 2007, 32.4 percent or RON 5.29 bln (€1.51 bln) higher year-on-year.

“This is the best quarter since the revolution. Without a doubt this is the best in the past few years,” according to a confirmation to Business Standard by INS sources.

Total investment in Romania in the first nine months of 2007 amounted to RON 39.36 bln (€11.5 bln), and Q3 2007 investments make up some half of that amount.

Slightly over half of the funds went towards new constructions, while 39.9 percent were spent on machinery (including methods of transportation).
