The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies (SIF) listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) was down 2.7 percent yesterday, by mid-session of the Bucharest bourse. Early in the session, the decline was 3 percent. The index of top 10 companies with highest liquidity registered a 1.37 percent drop, while the composite BET-C index was down 1.2 percent.
SIF Oltenia had the highest liquidity yesterday, with its shares involved in transactions totaling €0.55 million. SIF Moldova ranked second, with transactions worth €0.48 mln, and stock down 2.68 percent. SIF Transilvania registered the sharpest decline in its quotation, 3.43 percent lower on Friday. Shares of state-owned owned gas transportation company Transgaz dropped 3.5 percent.
The stock market’s liquidity amounted to €3.75 mln. Most of the transactions were made on BVB’s main market, with only €0.36 mln worth of deals on the electronic Rasdaq market.
