“Bechtel’s work last year was quite good. This year Bechtel was given an advance. Last week the Ministry of Transports expense ceiling was raised by RON 100 million. The Ministry’s budget will surely be supplemented in the coming months. Bechtel must complete 45 km of highway this year. An advance of €130 million was given and I hope that within one month the supplement will also be clarified. Bechtel requested €400 million for work this year. I am convinced that Bechtel is also eager to work and the government has committed to pay,” added Borbely.

The Minister indicated that an understanding has been signed by Bechtel and the National Roads Agency according to which the builder commits to repair anything it destroys. (NewsIn)
