Bouygues Romania targets €65 mln in business

In 2007, the company posted €57 mln in turnover, 67 percent higher year-on-year, and €1.8 mln in gross profit. For 2008, the company expects its gross profit to amount to €2.27 mln, according to Bouygues Romania’s General Manager, Dragos Victor Stefanescu.
Company contracts since its establishment in 1991 amount to a total €500 million.

In the coming years, the company plans to build its own real estate project in eastern Bucharest, on 14,000 square meters, to include two buildings with 500 apartments.

Bouygues Romania is part of the French Bouygues group’s construction division, which also owns Colas Romania, a company specialized in road construction. Besides construction, Bouygues is also operating in telecom and media. It posted €1.3 billion in net profit in 2007, 10 percent higher year-on-year, while net sales rose 12 percent, up to €29.6 bln.
