Delibashev said that, due to the current situation in the air industry, a decision has not yet been made regarding the company’s development plans for other Romanian airports. “However, in the long-run, we are analyzing all opportunities for the introduction of a second destination for flights to Romania, in the western part of the country,” the company official told Business Standard.
The number of passengers on the London-Bucharest route rose some 45 percent year-on-year in the first nine months of 2008, due mainly to the introduction of a third flight for the summer.
“Considering the numbers registered last year and the financial crisis which is also affecting the air industry, we hope to maintain our 2008 results, simultaneously ensuring an annual double-digit growth rate of revenues,” Delibashev added.
Other airlines operating on the Romanian market include Tarom, Carpatair, and Air France-KLM.
