Broker officials said they intend to provide consulting and financing for the launching of projects in poor rural areas, based on the Jucu model. Mobile phone producer Nokia opened a production unit this year near the village of Jucu, Cluj County, triggering several ancillary investments and thus developing the area.
To manage the financing of these projects, the brokerage company plans to launch local bond issues, the first on the Romanian market, with the local authorities of those villages.
Broker Cluj’s project involves building some 30-50 wind plants, with a total investment of €60-70 million.
