Shares of state-owned Transelectrica electricity transporter rose 11.8 percent in two days, after the company announced a double profit for Q1. The second-largest bank locally, Banca Romana de Dezvoltare-Societe Generale (BRD-SocGen), registered a 6.54 percent rise in quotation, after posting 52 percent rise in profit.
“This is a first sign that the decline is over. We expect the stock market advance to continue, but not as rapidly,” according to Adrian Ceuca, General Manager of Broker Cluj. He added that the buyers are back on the market, acquiring significant packages.
The most significant growth in the past two days was registered for the financial investment companies (SIF), with the BET-FI index of the five listed SIFs rising 9.74 percent.
Brokers estimate that the stock market will keep growing for the next six months. The average increase of quotations was 2.85 percent yesterday.
